The Passion Behind the Dots

A journey from Santa Fe to the East Coast

After spending thirty years in the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico, I returned to the east coast to refresh my artistic soul. Trading the blue southwestern skies for cerulean colored waters, I continue my artistic journey as a pointillist.

While in Santa Fe, surrounded by a talented population of professional artists, I immersed myself in the culture, philosophies, skills and techniques of my peers. I was invited into the exclusive Santa Fe Artists Market, which allowed my work to be viewed and purchased from collectors around the world.

With a strong background in illustration, ink became my primary medium. Using a dotting technique called stippling, I consumed myself in this meditative style. Hungry for color, I studied at the School of Color and Light in California, learning techniques from a master impressionist painter.

Working with pointillism might seem meticulous, but for me, it's a way to show the intensity I feel about what I'm creating. It's not just about making pictures; it's about putting a piece of myself into each dot.
